The goal of the Office of Accessibility is to provide reasonable accommodations and a supportive, well-resourced environment to students with disabilities in order to promote student success in the university environment.

Desire2Learn’s Brightspace (the system that powers Springboard) evaluates accessibility levels using two sets of standards: 1) Section 508 of the United States Rehabilitation Act; and 2) the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 of the World Wide Web Consortium. D2L provides information on the accessibility of the learning environment in general and the ePortfolio tool in particular for both sets of standards: The Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPAT) for Section 508 compliance and the checklists for WCAG 2.0.
