Overview

The Painting Minor supports a student’s search for creative expression while helping them develop strong visual skills and critical thinking. You’ll explore materials and techniques across introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels, building a foundation in both traditional and contemporary approaches. Whether you’re a studio major or exploring painting alongside another field, this minor enhances your ability to communicate visually, think flexibly, and engage with ideas across disciplines.  

Admissions Requirements

Authorization from the student, adviser and Myers School of Art is required to add the Minor in Painting.
