Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in English program offers students a dynamic foundation in literature, language, rhetoric, and creative writing. The Ashbelt: The University of Akron's student-run literary journal exclusively features the creative work of University undergraduates.
Upstart Crows: The Literary Guild sponsors a reading group and a writing group, dubbed The Upstart Crows, which hosts “open mic” poetry nights, travels to see plays performed in Akron and Cleveland, and engages in a variety of other intellectual and social activities throughout the year.
