Overview
Electrical and electronic engineering technology powers most modern devices, from cell phones and computers to power plants and manufacturing facilities. Our program focuses on hands-on, lab-based learning to prepare you for a career using the latest technologies. You’ll learn from experienced faculty who are experts in their fields. Courses cover microcontrollers, circuits, industrial machine control, technical report writing and more.

Career Outcomes
Graduates are in high demand and take on technician, technologist and engineering roles across the electrical and electronic industries. The program prepares students to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering and Professional Engineer exams.

Learn Through Experience
Our engineering students learn through experience. Our famed co-op program, one of the oldest in the country, provides students with paid industry experience. On average, students earn $47K over three co-op rotations, all while completing their degree. Within six months of graduation, our 2024 College graduates launched careers, pursued graduate school, or entered military service, with an average starting salary of $72K.

Students can also join one of our many student organizations such as NASA Mining Robotics, Akron Roobotics or Zips Racing Team, Amateur Radio and Electronics Club.
