Overview

Build practical, in-demand skills through a curriculum that blends business foundations with applied supply chain and operations management. Through coursework in supply chain analysis, modeling, logistics planning, sourcing, and operations strategy, you’ll gain hands-on, data-driven experience while learning how organizations manage complex supply networks across manufacturing and service industries.

Our program is immersive. Students regularly work with local organizations, such as ACME and Swenson’s, and can expand their perspective through global study opportunities that explore supply chain operations in international settings.

Outside the classroom, Supply Chain & Operations Management students connect with industry through the Supply Chain Student Association (SCSA), which offers networking, field trips to distribution and operations centers, and a focused career fair for internships and jobs. You’ll also benefit from relationships with supply chain professionals through our Supply Chain Advisory Board, providing direct insight into the Northeast Ohio supply chain ecosystem.

Along the way, you’ll receive personalized academic advising to help you reach your career goals—whether that means pursuing roles in logistics, procurement, operations, or strategy, or continuing your education at the graduate level.

Admissions Requirements

The University of Akron Bulletin acts as a guide for degree requirements, however official requirements are established at the time of transfer and admission to the degree-granting college.
