Overview

The Minor in Ceramics introduces students to the artistic, technical, and conceptual foundations of working with clay. Through courses in handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glaze formulation, students gain practical experience in both functional and sculptural ceramics. This minor is ideal for students in other majors who want to explore ceramics as a creative outlet or complement their primary field of study.

Admissions Requirements

Authorization from the student, adviser and Myers School of Art is required to add the Minor in Ceramics.

Career Outcomes

This minor supports careers in studio art, teaching, and design by building hands-on skills in clay.
