Overview
The Communication Studies minor gives students a foundation in effective speaking, listening, and message design. You’ll explore how communication works in one-on-one, group, and intercultural settings, while developing the skills to express ideas clearly and persuasively. This minor adds value to any major by strengthening your ability to build relationships, resolve conflict, and lead conversations across personal and professional settings.
Admissions Requirements
Students must meet the general admissions requirements for the University of Akron.
Students majoring in Communication Studies cannot minor in Communication Studies.
