Thomas Webb

Biography

Tom Webb is Professor Emeritus and Senior Lecturer in The Myers School of Art. He received his Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from The University of Michigan, with concentrated studies in sculpture, industrial design, and anthropology. He has served as Coordinator of Sculpture, Coordinator of Art Foundations, and Interim Director of the School of Art.  His exhibited work has included sculpture, drawing, and photography.

Commission and contract work includes design and construction of specialized display systems, interactive installations, and collaborations as a wood specialist. Recent studio work centers on the intersection of material and immaterial events using paper, wood, plastics, and light.
