The University of Akron Board of Trustees


The University of Akron Board of Trustees is composed of nine voting members and two non-voting student members, all appointed by the Governor of Ohio with the advice and consent of the State Senate. There can also be up to three non-voting advisory trustees appointed by the Board. 

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of The University of Akron.

By Ohio Law, The University of Akron Board of Trustees provides oversight of academic programs, budgets, general administration, and employment at the institution.
