Professional & Academic Experience

Chris joined Maloney + Novotny LLC in 2021. He has a wide range of experience with both corporate and individual tax planning and compliance. Prior to joining Maloney + Novotny, Chris was a Tax Director at a national firm where he gained extensive expertise in various tax matters.

Chris has a diversified business background including considerable experience in tax and consulting services. He is particularly knowledgeable in tax matters related to partnerships, S Corporations, C-Corporations and exempt organizations.

In addition, Chris advises clients on all aspects of mergers & acquisitions, entity structuring, succession planning, federal, state and local income tax compliance, and planning. Chris’ impressive background enables him to bring a wealth of knowledge to our clients.

Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Akron in 2007 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2013. He earned his M.S. in Taxation from the University of Akron in 2012. He is a member of the Cleveland Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs.
