Professional & Academic Experience

Tom Dryer is the Vice President, Controller for Jo-Ann Stores, Inc. As the Controller, he currently oversees General Accounting &Financial Reporting, Inventory Control, Accounts Payable, Vendor Accounting and Real Estate Accounting. Over his 20+ years at Jo-Ann’s, he has been involved in many strategic projects as well as driven many process improvements within the Stores, Distribution Centers and Corporate Office. Tom also has significant experience in systems implementation having been a project leader for numerous system initiatives such as SAP, Retail Store, EXE, RIS and Coupa.

Tom graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Akron in 1989. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1995. In addition to serving on the Advisory Board for the School of Accountancy at the University of Akron, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA).
