Professional & Academic Experience

Michael Humphrey is a Managing Director in KPMG LLP’s Forensic Practice and has over 25-years of experience in management advisory and banking. Michael leads KPMG’s national financial institution investigations initiative.  Michael’s specific activities include: forensic investigations; fraud risk management; enterprise security; and risk management process. Prior to joining KPMG in 2007, Michael was the managing director and CEO for a management consulting firm, where his work centered on the intelligence community in relation to the domestic and international banking industry.  As a previous banker he has served as:  chief security officer, operational risk manager, chief compliance officer, trust officer, certified trust and financial advisor, private banker, CEO of brokerage services, head of trust acquisitions and integrations and head of trust operations for various regional banks.
