Psychology Takes Flight

Opening January 2025

National Museum of Psychology, 1st Floor

Do you have what it takes to join the U.S. Army Air Forces?

Psychology Takes Flight explores the work of psychologists in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Psychological science played a key role in the war effort, as psychologists were called upon to administer complex psychomotor tests, train and classify new recruits, and redesign aircraft for maximum safety and efficiency. Through their contributions, psychologists left a lasting impact on the U.S. military that can still be seen to this day.

The new exhibit opens in January 2025 in the National Museum of Psychology – stay tuned for more information!
