Biography

Dr. Carpenter is an Associate Professor in the College of Engineering & Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering department. He is also the program director for the Automated Manufacturing Engineering Technology program. Dr. Carpenter received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from The University of Akron and M.S. in Applied Engineering from Kent State University. He received his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in Engineering Education, from The University of Akron. His teaching and workforce development expertise is in the area of thermodynamics and fluid power engineering.
