Biography
Dr. Doll joined The University of Akron in 2011. Prior to joining us, he had a robust career in industry, including time spent working for General Motors and The Timken Company. Since 2011, he has served as the Director of the Timken Engineered Surfaces Laboratories in partnership with The University of Akron. Dr. Doll is a Fellow with ASM International and with the Society for Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers. He was awarded a Distinguished Fellowship by the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2016. He has published over 350 articles and book chapters and received more than 28 US Patents.
