Biography

Dr. Schneider is a Professor of Civil Engineering at The University of Akron. He is a Professional Engineer, Ohio License Number 71881. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Dr. Schneider has been recognized as one of the top 5 most productive faculty at the University of Akron (2016) and he also received the "Sweet Sixteen" High Value research award from the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials. He is the principal investigator on over 30 projects, including those sponsored by The Ohio Department of Transportation, The Ohio Department of Public Safety, and the US Department of the Transportation Region V University Transportation Center.   This research has funded 5 Ph.D., 13 M.S., more than 70 undergraduate students, and 80 plus publications.
