Biography

Dr. Anindya Bijoy Das is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department.  Prior to joining The University of Akron, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Purdue University. He has published several peer-reviewed journals in IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications Letter etc. He has also served as a reviewer in different venues including TON, TMC, TPDS, TPAMI, TWC, ISIT, ICASSP etc. He has received the prestigious "Karas Award" of Iowa State University for the outstanding dissertation in Mathematical and Physical Science and Engineering in 2022. Federated learning, AI/ML and its applications, coded/distributed computation, information theory, etc.
