Biography

Dr. Debopriya Roy Dipta joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Akron in Fall 2026 as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at Iowa State University in 2026. His research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computer architecture, and systems security, with a focus on microarchitectural side-channel vulnerabilities, AI-driven detection and defense mechanisms, and automated security analysis. His work has been published in venues including ACSAC, IEEE TIFS, IEEE Euro S&P, and IEEE JETCAS. He also served as a Reviewer for different venues including IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Transaction on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Open Journal of the Computer Society, and IEEE Access.
