The College of Engineering and Polymer Science’s research program creates knowledge and designs solutions for problems that disrupt our communities and world. No other discipline transforms the world like engineering does, and at Akron, there are no limits to what our faculty and students are capable of achieving.

From developing environmentally friendly coatings used in manufacturing to exploring the role mineral surfaces may have played in the origins of life, some of our world’s most advanced researchers are searching for – and finding – answer’s that will alter the course of our future.
