Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT)
The University of Akron is a member of the Center for Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT), a regional University Transportation Center led by the University of Michigan and sponsored by the USDOT, to advance research in the field of transportation safety, mobility, and sustainability via connected vehicles, connected infrastructure, and autonomous vehicles. The research focus of UA in CCAT is traffic operation and control in mixed traffic flows with connected/automated vehicles.
