Jayme Jennings will be the student speaker for the commencement scheduled for Sunday, May 9, at 3 p.m. She is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Corrosion Engineering, cum laude.

Q: What campus activities were you involved?
A: Dean’s Team, AK Rowdies, Golden-Z, and President of Corrosion Squad/Chairwoman of University of Akron NACE Student Section.
Q: What campus honors or awards have you received?
A: Dean's List.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: Starting full-time with Coffman Engineers as a Corrosion Control Engineer based out of Kenai, Alaska.
Q: What is your favorite memory of UA?
A: Living in the South dorms as a freshman. It was really fun being able to leave our dorm open and always have people stop by.
Q: What unique things should we know about you?
A: I have driven to Alaska once already and will be driving up again after graduation. I have been to 24 different states since starting at Akron five years ago.
