Caldwell was an NSCAA Academic All-America First Team honoree in 2011 and a two-time Academic All-Mid-American Conference selection in each of the past two seasons. He currently owns a 3.934 cumulative GPA as an accounting major at Akron.

Caldwell is an active contributor in the community. He has volunteered at a number of youth soccer clinics in both the Akron area and near his hometown in Braintree, Mass.
Competition
Caldwell is one of the best midfielders in the country. After scoring the game-winning goal in the national championship game in 2010 - earning Akron the school’s first team national championship in any sport - he followed up his heroic campaign with a breakout season in 2011. The senior enjoyed career highs for goals (6) and assists (11) (which ranked him 11th among all Division I players) and helped lead the Zips back to the NCAA’s Round of 16 for the fourth consecutive season. For his efforts, he was selected to the All-MAC first team.
