Business Data Analytics student awarded industry scholarship

Congratulations to Prachi Shah, a Business Data Analytics major with a Finance focus in the College of Business, Department of Economics. She has been awarded a scholarship from the Northeast Ohio chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (NEO RIMS). These scholarships are awarded to students taking relevant curriculum and showing intent to enter a career in the field of risk management or a similar insurance function. NEO RIMS offers this scholarship as encouragement to explore such a career, and to recognize scholastic and extracurricular achievements.

"This scholarship shows how the Business Data Analytics major can open doors to a career in a number of different fields – risk management and insurance, finance, supply chain management, information systems management, marketing, and of course, economics,” said Sucharita Ghosh, professor and department chair. “The major, which we introduced in 2019, is already highly sought‐after by area employers.”
