UA professor participates in Fulbright Program anniversary celebration

Dr. Sucharita Ghosh, professor of economics in the College of Business Administration, was invited to the 70th Anniversary of the Fulbright Program in Italy on Dec. 11 organized by the Embassy of Italy in Washington, D.C., and the United States Department of State.

The program was founded by Sen. James William Fulbright in 1946. Italy was one of the first countries to participate, joining the program in 1948.

Ghosh, who was recognized for her two Fulbright Scholar Awards to Italy — in 2006 and 2018 — is pictured above with the Ambassador of Italy to the United States, His Excellency Armando Varricchio.
