The University of Akron (UA) is pleased to announce the establishment of a new scholarship for members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) who transfer to UA. Membership in PKT is available only to college students attending two-year institutions and recognizes academic excellence and promotes individual growth.
This scholarship, valued at $2,000 annually, is renewable for up to four years or until the student completes a bachelor’s degree. The scholarship is also stackable with other financial aid opportunities offered by the University, making it an attractive option for PTK members seeking to continue their academic journey at UA.
This initiative underscores UA's commitment to recognizing academic excellence and supporting students in their pursuit of higher education.
“This is an exciting opportunity to support Phi Theta Kappa members in reaching their education and personal goals. Through this scholarship, UA will have the opportunity to connect with an amazing, high achieving and diverse group of students,” said Kim Snowden, senior assistant director of admissions/transfer.
