IGB Hosts Delegates from India and Pakistan for the International Visitor Leadership Program
The session at the CBA covered topics related to Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Pictured are UA personnel who welcomed and led the lecture sessions for the delegation: Dr. Ray Gehani (Associate Professor in the Department of Management), Joseph Fox (Director Fitzgerald Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies and visiting Assistant Professor of Practice), Dr. Douglas Hausknecht (Retired Associate Professor of International Business) and Dr. Mahesh Srinivasan (Director of IGB) along with the delegation from India and Pakistan with the representatives from the US Department of State. Daniel Hampu, Project Manager with the University of Akron Research Foundation and Executive Director of the NEO Student Venture Fund also spoke to the delegates. Delegates also visited the Bounce Innovation Hub in Akron.
The IVLP is designed to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries through carefully designed visits that reflect the participants’ professional interests and support U.S. foreign policy goals. Participants are established or potential foreign opinion makers in government, public policy, media, education, labor, the arts, and other key fields. More than 200 current or former Heads of State are alumni of the International Visitor Leadership Program, and more than 1500 were or are cabinet-level ministers.
