On the heels of last year’s successful conference on selling a business, the College of Business Administration will now shift the focus to buying a business with “How to Make a Successful Acquisition.” The Mergers & Acquisitions Conference will be held Wednesday, June 20, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Crown Plaza, 5300 Rockside Road, Independence.
The CBA has assembled an experienced panel of experts to discuss the many aspects of purchasing a business. The featured guest speaker for the luncheon presentation will be A. Ray Dalton, a successful entrepreneur who has launched seven businesses, including his current company, PartsSource, Inc.
Sponsors of the conference are Brown Gibbons Lang & Company, Buckingham Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP, Cohen & Company, FirstMerit Bank, Greater Akron Chamber, KeyBank, PartsSource and SmartBusiness.
The cost of the conference is $50 per person and $400 for corporate tables of eight. The reservation deadline is June 13. To make a reservation and learn more about the panelists and conference, download the Mergers & Acquisitions Conference registration brochure.
