School of Law Welcomes Julia Meyres as Director of Academic Success

Julia Meyers ‘24 as Director of Academic Success

The University of Akron School of Law has hired Julia Meyers ‘24 as Director of Academic Success. Director Meyers will assist the ASP Department with teaching relevant law courses to students, counseling and tutoring students to ensure academic success, providing support to students by conducting workshops and supplying assistance with basic writing and analytical skills as needed.
Julia received her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from The University of Akron in 2021 and her Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law in 2024. Prior to returning to work at the School of Law, Julia worked as an Associate Attorney at a boutique IP law firm in Canton, Ohio and as an Attorney Grader for Themis Bar Review.

As a two-time graduate of the University of Akron, it feels incredibly meaningful to come back and support the next generation of Akron Law students. My experience as an Attorney Grader for Themis has equipped me with many of the transferable skills I will be using in my current position. I look forward to working in the ASP office, where I can help students strengthen their skills, navigate their academic journey, and achieve their professional goals.”
