'Your Life Calling: Reimagining the Rest of Your Life'

Jane Pauley, one of America’s most celebrated broadcast journalists, will deliver a lecture titled “Your Life Calling: Reimagining the Rest of Your Life,” on Monday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m., as part of The University of Akron’s Forum Lecture Series at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall.

The former co-host of “TODAY” and anchor of “Dateline,” both on NBC, Pauley has won numerous awards throughout her more than 30 years in broadcast journalism, including Emmys and the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism. She joined the CBS News show “Sunday Morning” as a contributor earlier this year.

Pauley also is the author of two New York Times bestsellers, the latest of which — the subject of her lecture — is based on her award-winning series on “TODAY” about people 50 and older who have reinvented their lives by learning new skills, starting new careers, pursuing their dreams or making a difference.

The lecture is sponsored by The Dorothy Garrett Martin Memorial Delta Gamma Lectureship on Values and Ethics and by Thomas Hall.

Pauley is an advocate for mental health, children’s health and education issues.
