Biohazard Training

BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS
Those who are in university departments that are listed under "Who Must Comply" in the University of Akron's BBP program may contact our office to see if they are included in the program. If you are, annual training shall be scheduled by your supervisor/advisor. An EOHS member will provide the training and document for the record.

INFECTIOUS WASTE GENERATORS
We urge those research groups who are planning to employ an infectious agent into their research, to please contact EOHS to set a review appointment for the correct handling and disposal of waste items.

BIO-TERRORISM
EOHS has developed a presentation covering recent topics on bio-terrorism that has emerged from the Twin Tower attack on September 11, 2001. Those who have concerns with contamination by chemical or biological agents, feel free to set an appointment for your department or group.
