Portable Fire Extinguishers
- Campus fire extinguishers are obtained and maintained by EOHS.
- If you notice a missing or damaged fire extinguisher, please notify EOHS.
- Fire extinguishers should be acquired for special events (e.g., cookouts, concerts, sporting events, etc.) on University owned and operated property. Contact EOHS at ext. 6786 to discuss obtaining fire extinguishers for your event.
- Fire extinguishers are rated according to the types of fires on which they can be used. The rating can be found on the extinguisher faceplate as noted in Figure 1.
