About
Michelle serves as Director of Alumni Relations at The University of Akron, where she develops meaningful opportunities for alumni to stay connected and engaged with the University and one another.
In her role, Michelle serves as the alumni liaison to the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, and the College of Health and Human Sciences, while partnering with several affinity groups to strengthen alumni engagement and community. She also manages the 1870 Market, the University's online alumni store, coordinates the award-winning Zippy mascot program, and oversees social media for both the Alumni Association and Zippy.
Before joining The University of Akron in 2021, Michelle worked in Alumni Engagement and University Activities at The University of Mount Union. A first-generation college graduate, she earned bachelor's degrees in marketing and human resource management from Mount Union in 2016 and a master's degree in education from Kent State University in 2018. Michelle is a member of the Torchbearers Board of Directors (Class of 2024) and was recognized as a Greater Akron Chamber 30 for the Future honoree in 2025.
