Biography
Amanda Cole is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the School of Counseling at the University of Akron and a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor and supervisor, specializing in affirming care for LGBTGEQIAP+ youth and psychodrama group work. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including community agencies, private practice, university counseling centers, and an animal-assisted therapy farm. She is the past president of both the Eastern Ohio Counseling Association and the Ohio Association for Specialists in Group Work, and currently serves on the ACA Professional Standards Committee and as a trustee on the SAIGE Executive Board.
