Overview

The Minor in Applied Statistics provides non-Statistics majors with an opportunity to gain practical statistical skills that are useful in both employment settings and graduate programs. This minor will teach you how to analyze and manage data with statistical software tools. Calculus is not required on this track; it’s more focused on applying statistical tools to your professional work.

Admissions Requirements

This minor is open to undergraduate students from any major. A range of entry-level statistics courses are available to match your academic background. Students should consult their academic advisor when selecting electives and mapping their course plan.

Career Outcomes

Adding a minor in applied statistics strengthens your resume with in-demand quantitative skills that are valuable in healthcare, business, sports analytics, engineering, policy, social science, and technology fields. Graduates are well-prepared for roles in data analysis or to pursue graduate programs that require statistical literacy.
