Overview
Earn both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees in statistics in just five years through The University of Akron’s Accelerated Degree Pathway Program. This option blends undergraduate and graduate-level coursework, allowing you to count nine graduate credits toward both degrees, saving time and money while deepening your expertise in statistical theory, data analysis, and research methods.
Students gain advanced training in statistical modeling, probability theory, experimental design, and statistical computing, preparing them for high-demand careers or doctoral study. Any of the three B.S. pathways—Statistics, Data Science, or Actuarial Science—can be paired with the M.S. in Statistics.
Admissions Requirements
Students must meet the general admission requirements of The University of Akron.
Apply for Graduate School early in the spring semester of your junior year (third year undergraduate).
Maintain a 3.30 cumulative GPA and good academic standing.
Meet requirements for both the undergraduate program and the M.S. in Statistics.
During your senior year, you’ll take nine graduate credits at the undergraduate tuition rate, providing significant financial savings.
