AUAR Scholarship
The Association of The University of Akron Retirees Scholarship was created in March 2007 and revised in August 2017 and March 2023. Thanks to gifts from Association members and other University retirees, the scholarship has been endowed, and the retiree group intends to continue building upon the endowment with yearly fundraising.
The Association of The University of Akron Retirees (AUAR) was founded in 1998 and comprises University of Akron faculty, staff, administrators, and all retirees who wish to continue their involvement in the life of the University and its students. The group meets monthly for social, educational, advocacy, and philanthropic purposes. Its members support and enrich the University in many ways.
