The School of Allied Health offers baccalaureate programs which leads to rewarding and productive careers in respiratory therapy and health care administration. With baccalaureate and master’s degrees along with practical certificates, the School of Social Work and Family Sciences provides hands-on skills promoting social well-being and family development.

School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

Recognized as a national leader, the School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology provides baccalaureate, master's and doctoral students with evidence-based clinical training to prepare and graduate highly qualified audiologists and speech-language pathologists.

ARI-AHEC works with university and community partners to provide programming that works to:

  • Recruit and prepare a diverse, culturally competent primary care workforce; and develop and maintain a health care workforce that is prepared to deliver high quality care, particularly in underserved areas and communities.
  • The Area Health Education Center program is funded through the HRSA Bureau of Health Workforce. Additional support for ARI-AHEC comes from The University of Akron College of Health and Human Sciences and the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
