At Akron Law, we have incorporated an intensive three-credit legal analysis and research course in the first semester to provide you with a strong foundation in conducting legal research which will make you more attractive to employers after your first year of law school. It will also prepare you for your upper division courses and the NextGen Bar Exam. All sections of legal analysis and research are taught by Akron Law Librarians.
In your second semester, the Legal Writing faculty partner with the Civil Procedure: Federal Litigation faculty on a legal brief drafting exercise that is specifically designed to prepare you for the kinds of writing exercises that will occur on the NextGen Bar Exam.
In your upper division years, you will complete the Upper Division Legal Drafting Requirement by taking one of the following courses:
