Benefits

Full-time students typically complete their degrees in three years. As a full-time student, you can naturally focus exclusively on your studies.  If you would prefer to balance full-time study and work, you can do that too.

Additionally, some full-time students choose to pursue our various joint degrees. As a full-time student, you can obtain a juris doctor or joint degree in a reasonable amount of time while maximizing the experience and practical training you receive.

Curriculum

The curriculum for a full time student is designed so that the degree may be earned in as little as two and one-half academic years. The typical student completes the juris doctor studies in three years (six semesters). The summer is an optional part of the full time program. Summer also presents an opportunity for our students to pursue legal experience in the form of an internship or clerkship or it can be an opportunity to take classes to finish the program in a shorter time span.

A full time load is 12 to 16 credit hours each Fall and Spring semester.  And while the first-year curriculum within each track is standard, there are some adjustments we may be able to make during the first year. Students can adjust much more freely after the 2nd year once those core required courses are completed.
