Get Paid to Build Experience

More than five regional hospital partners invest in our students throughout their education—and many become the place our graduates call home. Between your junior and senior years, you can complete a 160-hour paid nursing practicum at one of our hospital partners. You'll strengthen your clinical skills alongside experienced nurses, gain valuable professional experience, and often earn a job offer before beginning your senior year. Plus, students who choose this option get a little extra time during the final year to prepare for the NCLEX exam!

Partners in Student Success

Our health care partners do more than host clinicals—they mentor students, provide tuition assistance, recruit on campus, and help shape a curriculum that reflects today's health care workforce. You'll graduate with the experience and professional connections employers are looking for.

Giving Back Together

Service is at the heart of nursing. Faculty, staff, and students work alongside community partners to inspire the next generation of health care professionals through initiatives like the University Hospitals Future Nurses Academy, Exploring CHHS for career-technical education students, and the Teddy Bear Clinic at the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library. By serving others while you're a student, you'll discover the impact nurses make far beyond the bedside.
