School Statement of Diversity
The School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences values diversity as it recognizes and respects that difference in culture, ethnicity, age, gender, race, creed, religion, sexual orientation, physical ability, political views and socioeconomic characteristics positively contribute to the learning environment and our professions. The School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences seeks to recruit, retain, and graduate a diverse student population as the mission and goals of the School are more fully realized in a diverse environment where meaningful dialogue occurs across broad inter-professional issues rooted in academic inquiry, research, and discovery. Diversity in our graduates is necessary to fulfill our professional and social responsibility to provide access to quality, culturally appropriate services for the public.
