International Admissions

An international student is someone who will enroll in an educational program in a country that is not their country of citizenship. In the USA, international students require a student visa (most commonly the F-1 visa), and are considered non-immigrants, meaning they are in the U.S. temporarily for the purpose of study. A domestic student is a US citizen, a permanent resident (you have a green card) or you are a refugee or have asylum.
