PREP: Psychology Research ExPerience Tiered Mentoring Program

The Psychology Research ExPerience (PREP) Tiered Mentoring Program at the University of Akron invites undergraduate students to work one-on-one with faculty and graduate students to gain research experience in the field of Psychology.
The Tiered Mentoring program is made possible by a BCAS Advantage Grant from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Applications are due by Friday, May 15that 11:59pm. Here are the opportunities available to our students:

How to Participate in Psychology Research ExPerience Tiered Mentoring Program
- Review the research opportunities and fill out the application, identifying 5 research projects you would be interested in particapting in.
- Once the application deadline passes, the faculty mentors leading the projects will determine the candidates that best fit the project and offer them a position in January.
- After being accepted, your Faculty Mentor will be in touch to discuss the project's start and end date as well as how many weeky hours of participation are required.
- As a participant, you will receive class credit by enrolling in a section of PSYC 497: Independent Reading & Research under your Faculty Mentor. The number of credits taken will vary based on the decided amount of hours you will participate, with the range being 1-3 total credits.
