ServeAkron provides a wide variety of volunteer and service projects to fit all interests.  This includes on campus Drop In Service projects, off campus projects and events, campus wide traditions like Make a Difference Day, and service trips.  If you see a hand, you can lend a hand! 

Zips Vote is a student driven coalition that seeks to increase voter engagement in all elections for all eligible Zips.  We provide voter registration, election education, and volunteer information to get involved in elections with an emphasis on Summit County and Cuyahoga County.

Make A Difference Day is a national day of helping others. Held annually in October, millions of Americans are rallied into a single day of action to help change the world. The University of Akron has participated in Make a Difference Day for many years; 2025 marks the 20th year of our participation! This is a great opportunity for all UA student, faculty, and staff to get out in the community and give back!

UA Remembrance Day is an annual tradition in April that honors the lives of Zips lost over the previous academic year.  What began in 2016 to memorialize the loss of students Duncan Unternhaher and Zak Husein, UA Remembrance Day has become a time to remember loved ones lost through service.
