Campus bookstore

Charging stations are located conveniently in the Commuter and Piano Lounges of the Jean Hower Taber Student Union, as well as outside the Career Services office. Grab a snack, work on a term paper or relax with your friends as you charge your various electronic devices.

Looking for the latest happenings in the Department of Student Life or your favorite campus organizations? Check out the digital signage screens posted in the first-floor atrium and Commuter Lounge. Also, visit the serveAkron Wall on the second-floor concourse near Starbucks to find the latest civic engagement programs.

DocuZip is located on the second floor of the Jean Hower Taber Student Union and provides the campus community with a host of UPS shipping and printing services.

Located on the second floor next to Auntie Anne’s, the 300+ seat Gardner Theatre is the perfect place to catch a ZPN movie showing on the weekend or to host a workshop, seminar, guest speaker and more!

The Jean Hower Taber Student Union has 11 meeting rooms, a grand ballroom and a 300+ seat theatre to accommodate meetings and events for 10 to several hundreds of guests. Our event staff is highly trained to meet your accommodations and ensure your events go without a hitch.

Located on the first floor, the Roo Lounge is the optimal place to hang out with friends in between and/or after classes! Play a round of pool, a quick game of bowling or use one of the gaming systems. The Roo Lounge is the perfect place for recreational fun and private events for your clubs, sports teams and organizations.

Need a relaxing place to study? There are many places to sneak away to in the Jean Hower Taber Student Union to get your study on. Check out the Commuter Lounge located next to a kitchenette equipped with appliances. Or, study with the soothing sounds in the Piano Lounge coming from the—you guessed it—piano!
