• For math …

The tutors in Tutorial Services provide assistance in math classes from Precalculus through Differential Equations. NO APPOINTMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR MATH TUTORING. Qualified math tutors are available for student drop-in’s all times Tutorial Services is open.

• For all other subject areas …

If you need a tutor in one of the many subject areas offered through Tutorial Services, you do need an appointment. An appointment guarantees you an hour of time with a tutor qualified to help you master the study skills you need for your class.

How do I make an appointment?

You can call 330-972-6552 during open hours or stop by the tutoring area on the ground floor of Bierce Library.

Who can use the tutoring services?

Subject tutoring is available to any current University of Akron student taking related courses.

How many appointments can I have each week?

Each tutoring appointment lasts one hour. You are permitted one per day and limited to two per week. This gives you a chance to practice and apply on your own what you worked on with the tutor.
