What is public data?

Some types of information do not require sensitive handling, and have been categorized as viewable to the public. This information can be displayed on public-facing resources such as the Directory or Campus Maps. Examples include:

• Username and email
• Student name, major, and degree
• Employee name and financial compensation
• Campus map showing buildings, names, addresses, parking, lighted pathways, emergency phones, etc.
