Interfraternity Council (IFC)
The University of Akron’s fraternity community, consisting of over 300 men in 12 chapters, is governed by the Interfraternity Council (IFC) Executive Board. The IFC Executive Board is made up of eight members of the community holding the roles of President, Vice President of Judicial Affairs, Vice President of Recruitment, Vice President of Community Engagement, Vice President of Public Relations, Vice President of Health and Safety, Vice President of Member Development, Vice President of Operations.
The purpose of the Interfraternity Council shall be to develop and maintain fraternity life and interfraternity relations at a high standard of accomplishment and in doing so: perpetuate fraternity life on The University of Akron campus, act in the best interest of all members of the Council, and promote service to the Greek, campus, and surrounding communities.
