What is ZAB?
The Zips Activities Board is the major programming organization at UA that provides the campus community with a diversified selection of programs including educational, cultural, social, and recreational. ZAB is made up of an Executive Board of 7 chair positions.
- President: Leads and support the work of the 6 programming chairs, as well as the Associate Board.
- Social Media Chair: Markets ZAB on all standing media platforms and makes sure the organization is upholding their values through their representation.
- Traditions Chair: Plans traditional ZAB events and gets students engaged with school spirit through new events.
- DEI Chair: Plans events to highlight underrepresented communities on campus and supports the other chairs in planning equitable and inclusive programs.
- Special Events Chair: Plans large scale events that partners with off-site companies to bring an immersive experience to campus.
- Health and Wellness Chair: Plans events to benefit student health through education, relaxation, and movement.
- Fine Arts Chair: Plans events to help students expand their art intelligence and connect them with art organizations and businesses in Akron.
