A "living laboratory" was donated by UA alumni siblings
University of Akron alumni and brothers Steve and Jerry Panzner donated over 100 acres of wetland, known as the Panzner Wetland Wildlife Reserve (PWWR) in Copley Township to UA. This "living laboratory" is a place where UA students in integrated bioscience, biology, chemistry and other disciplines can study.
The Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences has been fortunate by the contribution of The Panzner brothers as well as what other donors have committed.
